Sami Labs won the "Nutra Excellence Award – Best company in the field of Research & development" in the 8th Nutra Summit - India held in Mumbai on 13th - 16th March 2013.

Sami Labs Ltd. received the "Amulya 2012" Award from Karnataka State Innovation Council and Department of Industries and Commerce. The award was presented for having filed an application entitled Oleanoyl Peptide Composition, Process And Methods Thereof before the Indian Patent Office.

Sami Labs, Ltd. is honoured with the Panacea Excellence Award in the category of "Innovative & Evidence based Natural Ingredients & Products". The award was presented in Mumbai on 23rd of February 2012 by Prof. (Smt.) Fouzia Khan, Minister of state for Health & Family welfare, Govt. of Maharashtra. Ajay Joshi, Vice President- Business Operations, received this Award on behalf of Sami Labs.

Sami Labs, Ltd. was named "Best Innovation and Technology Company" at the Food 360° Conference organized by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI).

FICCI appointed a jury of peers, coordinated by Ernst & Young, to give awards to companies in various categories. The awards were given in conjunction with the International Conference on Agribusiness & Food Processing held recently in Hyderabad, with a large participation from India and abroad.

"It is gratifying to have our dedication to innovation recognized by our peers," said company founder Dr. Muhammed Majeed. "We appreciate such recognition of our talented, highly educated and proficient team".

Sami Labs, Ltd. has received the top Pharmexcil Patent Award for 2010-11 in the Herbals, Ayurveda Nutraceuticals category. The Award was presented during the "Pharma CEOs Conclave" organized by the Phaemaceuticals Export Promotion Council (Pharmexcil) and sponsored by Department of Commerce Industry, Government of India.

Pharmexcil is a ministry established by the Government of India as a gateway to global pharma trade. The awards honor those companies that excel in developing proprietary products that are granted patents throughout the world.

Sabinsa Corp. received the 2009 Herbal Industry Leader award from the American Herbal Products Association as a company that sets an example of outstanding business practices that work to move the industry forward above and beyond normal business practices.

Mr. Shaheen Majeed, Marketing Director of Sabinsa, was also elected to the AHPA board of directors.

Sami Labs, Ltd. was awarded with the Certificate of Excellence for Exports from the Federation of Indian Export Organisations. The award was given by the Union Minister of Textiles, Mr. Shankar Singh Vaghela, in the presence of Smt. Pratibha Patil, President of India, December 16th, 2008.

Sabinsa Corp. is the recipient of Frost & Sullivan 2008 North American Personal Care Ingredient Green Excellence of the Year Award. The award is in acknowledgment of Sabinsa’s strategically balanced green product offering, proactive and sustainable marketing practices, and the continuous ability to satisfy client needs in an increasingly diverse and green-conscious market space.

Export Excellence Award given to Sami Labs, Ltd.

Sami Labs, Ltd. is chosen for the Export Excellence Award 2006-07 from Federation of Karnataka Chamber of Commerce & Industry. Received on 16th June, 2007.

Sabinsa Corp., a subsidiary of Sami Labs, Ltd., has been awarded the second Thomas Alva Edison Patent Award for 2005 in the Enabling Technology/Small Company category for US Patent 6,849,645 concerning the invention entitled "Method of Increased Bioavailability of Nutrients and Pharmaceutical Preparations with Tetrahydropiperine and its Analogues and Derivatives".

The Thomas Alva Edison Patent Award recognizes the most revolutionary product innovations and important scientific breakthroughs originating in New Jersey.

Sabinsa Corp. received the Thomas Alva Edison Patent Award for the year 2004. The award was presented at the Council's Annual Awards Dinner on November 11, 2004, at the Liberty Science Center, New Jersey. Sabinsa's U.S. patent (No. 5,804,596) for ForsLean^® was awarded this honor in the Consumer/Small Company category.

This is the second award for ForsLean^® in the innovation arena. The product earlier won the Best New Product award in 2001 at Nutracon.

Best Export Award Overall - GOLD

Award for Excellence in Exports from Karnataka for the period of 1996 thru 2000 by Visvesvaraya Industrial Trade Centre, Govt. of Karnataka, Centre for Export Promotion.

Award for R&D Efforts in Industry in the category of "Chemical & Allied Industries", by the Govt. of India, Ministry of Science & Technology, Department of Scientific & Industrial Research (DSIR), New Delhi.

Certificate of Honour for Outstanding Performance in the Export of Spices/Spice Products for the year 1998-99 from India issued by Spices Board, Govt. of India, Ministry of Commerce & Industry.

Dr. Majeed received the Daniel B. Stateman award for distinguished alumni from Dr. David Taft at Long Island University’s 121st graduation ceremony in Brooklyn, New York on May 14, 2010.

Dr. Muhammed Majeed, Chairman and Managing Director of SAMI LABS LTD, was chosen by the National Ethnic Coalition of Organizations (NECO) to receive its prestigious Ellis Island Medal of Honor.

This award, which is sanctioned by the U.S. Congress, is presented to Americans of diverse origins to recognize their leadership, commitment and service to their own ethnic group and to American society. Dr. Majeed was presented with the medal at a gala event held on May 15th, 2004, on Ellis Island, New York.

"I am very proud to receive this honor and be recognized for the work I do here in the United States and in India." said Dr. Majeed. "I believe strongly in NECO's mission to preserve and celebrate ethnic diversity, and to promote advancement and tolerance among all ethnic groups".

Previous recipients of the Ellis Island Medal of Honor include: former presidents Gerald Ford, Jimmy Carter, George Bush and Bill Clinton, Nobel Prize winner Elie Wiesel, Bob Hope, Rudy Giuliani and Muhammad Ali.
